They Might Be Giants have perfected their deliriously catchy, original sound over the past three decades. The two-time GRAMMY winning Brooklyn originals return with charming wit, electrifying pop melodies and just enough bass clarinet on their 16th studio album. Created at the private studio of their long time collaborator and producer Patrick Dillett (David Byrne, Mary J. Blige, Tegan and Sara), Nanobots will be released March 5, 2013 via Idlewild Recordings and distributed through Megaforce.
Nanobots, the new album due out on March 5th, finds the band in fine form. Blending the band’s signature storytelling, some dueling horns and sly humor, “Call You Mom” is a caffeinated pop gem. Title track “Nanobots” puts a dark cartoonish spin on the world of technology while the call and response chorus and percussive guitar line of “You’re On Fire” dares even the grumpiest wallflower not to dance.
They Might Be Giants’ innovative Dial-A-Song service and imaginative high concept, low budget music videos stood the band apart early in their career quickly rocketing the alternative rockers to mainstream success. Known for recording numerous themes most notably The Daily Show with Jon Stewart, and the GRAMMY-winning Malcolm In the Middle theme, the band has 2 platinum albums, 2 gold albums, and have been nominated for 3 GRAMMYs, winning two. Known for their energized live show and love of the road, the band will kick off a 60-date international tour on February 27.
Show time is 8:00 p.m. Doors open at 7:00 p.m.
Tickets are $23 (plus $2.50 service fee)

Biography:
VANDAVEER is the song-singing, record-making, globetrotting project penned and put forth by alt-folk tunesmith Mark Charles Heidinger. Born in Ohio, raised in Kentucky, and currently camped out in the nation’s capital, Vandaveer offers up melodic Americana that is both haunting and easy, forlorn and welcoming, with stories as universal as the songs they inhabit. Vandaveer shapeshifts from studio to stage and back with a revolving cast of characters, most prominent among them Rose Guerin, offering up the loveliest harmonies heard this side of Eden.
Vandaveer has released three full-length albums and one EP since taking flight in ’07 — Grace & Speed (2007) / Divide & Conquer (2009) / A Minor Spell EP (2010) / Dig Down Deep (2011).
